Wanda E. Bixler, 80, of Monticello died Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at White County Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Burnettsville on Sept. 20, 1922, to Elmer B. and Lillie M. Henderson Lucy. She married Floyd Ray Bixler in Burnettsville on Dec. 23, 1939. He died on October 23, 1978.

She worked at Bryan Manufacturing.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Monticello.

She lived in Monticello since 1962 and had also lived in Rochester, Warsaw and Burnettsville.

She was very interested in the genealogy of White County. She was a member of White County Historical Society and the D.A.R.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue (Terry) Oneal of Itasca, Texas; sons Richard D. (Mary) Bixler of Rochester and Ray Bixler of Idaville, nine grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Six brothers and three sisters are deceased.

Funeral services were Friday at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Pittman officiating.

Burial was in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.
