Helen Pauline Berkshire

Helen Pauline Berkshire, 83, of Royal Center, died Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at her residence.

She was born on September 12, 1922 in White County, to Ora J. and Brida (Runkel) Houser.

She married Clyde Berkshire on August 24, 1940, in Delphi. He survives.

She attended Burnettsville High School. She had been co-owner and bookkeeper for Berkshire Implement since 1952[.]

She was a founding member of Northern Indiana Power of the Past and also a founding member of the International Harvester Collectors.

Other survivors include son, Marvin (Wilma) Berkshire, Royal Center; daughters, Karen (Jon) Brubaker, Ft. Wayne, and Permella (Doug) Campbell, Westfield; a sister, Freda Smith, Logansport; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Vance Berkshire and Gary Lee Berkshire, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were Friday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport with celebrant Carla Baker officiating.

Burial was in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.

Memorial may be made to the Northern Indiana Power of the Past Scholarship Fund.
