Mary Jo Smith Bell, 70, of Snellville, Georgia, died Monday, May 22, at her home. She had been ill four months.

She was born Sept. 7, 1929, to Glenn R. Smith and Bertie Marshall Smith Redding, in Clinton County.  She was manied in Dec. 1952,  to Joseph E. "Joe" Bell, in Monticello, and he survnves.

She was a 1947 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a retired registered nurse.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Deborah Ann Stemen of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sons, Brian F. Bell, SneIlville, Ga. And Bruce A. Bell, Waukesha, Wis.; a brother, W. Robert Smith, Roswell, Ga.; a sister Ann (Jack) Kiger, Brookston; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted in Snellville, Georgia.
