Helen Jenks Beedler, 72, of Chalmers. died Friday. May 28, 1999. in Matteson, Illinois.

Shc was born April 21, 1927, to Dewey and Louise F. McKinney Jenks in Dana. She was married Oct. 14, 1942, to Bruce E. Beedle in Covingion. He died April 6, 1990.

She moved toChalmers fromWest Lafayette in 1977.She and her husband were the former owners of Bruce's Yestcr Years in Brookston.

She was a memberof the Chalmers Civic Club, the Bunco Club and the Lafayette Eagles.

She attended Chalmers Community Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Frances Fraser of Elkhart, Nancy Bartlettof Lafayette and Esther Purpura of Matteson, Ill.; a son, Bruce A Beedle of Louisville,Ky.; two sisters,Mildred Carron of  Cayuga and DeloresKeener of Union City;eight grandchildrennine great grandchildren and several half brothers and sisters.

A brother and sister are deceased.

Funeral service was Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Bill Henderson officiating.

Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Brookston.
