Bruce Edward Beedle

Bruce Edward Beedle, 71, died Friday, April 6, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette, where he had been a patient since March 3.

He was born July 17, 1918, to Abram and Dolcia Cobb Beedle, in Attica. He was married Oct. 14, 1942, to Helen Jenks, in Covington. She survives.

He had lived in Chalmers since November 1978, and was a graduate of Attica High School.

He owned Bruce's Yester Years in Brookston for the past 14 years. He retired from Ross Gear in Lafayette, in 1978. He was employed at Harrison Steel and was an associate of Cohen Inc. in Terre Haute.

He was member of the Chalmers Civic Club.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Mrs Frances Fraser, Elkhart; Mrs Nancy Turner, Brookston and Mrs Ester Walter, Mattson, Ill.; one son, G.M.C. "SW" Bruce A. of U.S. Navy, Ox nard, Calif.; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, Fred of Wilkinson and Wayne, Highland, Calif. One sister is deceased.

The funeral was Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Gene Ansell officiating.

Burial was in IOOF cemetery at Brookston.
