Lucille Baxter, 80, of Reynolds died Friday. December 1, 2000 at Rosewalk Village of Lafayette.
She was born November 30, 1920 in Somerset, Kentucky, and had lived in Reynolds since 1967, coming from Remington. She was a homemaker and had been a baby sitter and custodian at Reynolds Elementary School.
She married Keith A. Baxter February 8, 1941. He survives.
She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Remington and was a member of Carpenter Township Home Economics Club. She enjoyed square dancing, roller skating, crocheting and gardening.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Marvin Baxter (Betty) of West Lafayette and Carl (Jeanie) Baxter of Lafayette; two daughters, Betty Jean Danford (Randy) of Monticello and Linda (Dennis) Deno of Remington; two brothers, Clifford Lee of Indianapolis and Earl Lee of San Martin, California; and two sisters, Christine Gladson of Bloomington and Gladys Brooks of Martinsville. 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive.
A brother and great-grandchild are deceased.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Stitz Funeral Home in Remington with Rev. Barb Lloyd officiating Burial was in Remington Cemetery.
