He was born September 7, 1919 in Monon, the son of Leslie and Cecile Welch Barngrover. His marriage was to Evelyn Reeves on December 25, 1941 in Monticello. She survives
He had lived most at his life in Francesville as a self employed truck driver.
He was a member of Francesville United Methodist Church, Supreme Masonic Lodge 765, American Legion Post 228, Teamsters Union 710 in Chicago. And had served in the U.S. Army during WWII 1943 to 1946.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Jeffrey Barngrover of Francesville and Robert Barngrover of Crooks, SD; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were at the Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home on July 9,2000 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James Yater officiating. Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
