Evelyn Barnard, 75, of Logansport, a former Monon resident died Thursday, April 1, in her residence. She had been ill for four years.

She was born April 5, 1923, to Oscar and Sadie Taylor Pauley in Monon. She was married Dec. 15, 1945, to Eugene E. Barnard in Monticello, and he died Aug. 22, 1980.

She was a homemaker, and had resided in Monon most of her life, moving to Logansport two years ago

She is survived by two sons, Philip Barnard of Battle Creek, Mick, and Larry D. Jones of Eugene, Oregon; a stepdaughter, Sandra Day of Monon; three sisters, Sonja Parsley of Logansport, Janice Linback of Lafayette and Sharon Cummings of Monon; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Three brothers and a sister are deceased.

A memorial service is planned at a later date.

Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, was in charge of arrangements.
