J. Baldauf, 64, of Rt. 2, Brookston, died Sunday morning, Feb. 12,
at St. Elizabeth Hospital
Medical Center,
Lafayette. where he had been hospitalized since Feb. 10.
He was born in Smithton, PA, on April 22, 1930. His father is Francis Baldauf. He married Mary Coffman in Lafayette in 1966, and she survives.
He worked for the past 26 years at Egyptian Lacquer, Lafayette. He was a maintenance supervisor. He previously worked construction, sandblasting and as a heavy equipment operator in Pennsylvania.
He moved to this area from Pittsburgh in 1967. He served 19 years in the U.S. Navy, leaving the service in 1959. He enjoyed repairing antique clocks.
Surviving with his wife are one son, Franklin J. Jr. of Lafayette; one stepdaughter. Mrs. Duane (Sue) Royer of Rt. 4. Delphi; two brothers. Ron of Pittsburgh, PA. and Don of Myrtle Beach, FL; two sisters, Alvena Sommers and Joan both of Pittsburgh, PA; one grandson, Charles D. Baldauf of Lafayete; three stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Horn Funeral Home, Delphi. Father Peter Vanderkolk officiated.
Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Brookston, with military rites by the Delphi American Legion Post No. 75.
