Charles J. "Charlie" Anderson

Charles J. "Charlie" Anderson, 57, of Delphi, died Friday, November 18, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.

He had been a patient there since Tuesday, November 15, and died unexpectedly.

He was born January 4, 1948 in Logansport to Alvin and Margaret (Crosby) Anderson.

He married Nancy Jo Brown in Burrows on September 6, 1970 and she survives.

He graduated from Delphi High School in 1966.

He was drafted into the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany and was discharged in 1969.

He had worked for ESSROC Industries near Logansport for 39 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge #28 in Delphi, the Logansport American legion Post #60, Liberty Township Burrows Volunteer Fire Department and was the acting fire chief. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are a daughter, Angela (Jason) Horton, Whiteman AFB, Warrensburg, MO.; a brother Larry (Sandy) Anderson, Rochester; a sister, Bonnie Wamsley, Monticello; father and mother-in[-]law Robert "Brownie" (Quincine "Skeet") Brown, Burrows; and grandsons Tyler and Andrew Horton.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi with Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating.

Burial was in Burrows Cemetery with full military rites.

Memorials may be made to the Liberty Township Burrows Volunteer Fire Department.
