Juanita M. Allen

Juanita M. Allen, 78, of Monon, died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.

She was born May 5, 1923, in Buffalo, to Otto and Mary McIntire Hunt. She married Paul L. Allen on May 5, 1946, in Rensselaer. He died on May 4, 1992.

She lived in Monon her entire life. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary #2788, the Modern Homemakers Home Ec Club and the Milroy Home Ec Club.

Surviving are three daughters; Marjorie (George) Garling, of Monon, Pauletta (Marvin) Perry of Royal Center and Coleen (Richard) Henson of Arizona City, Ariz.; a son, John Allen of Monon, 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Donald Hunt of Westville, Stanley (Shirley) Hunt of Michigan City, Norman (Dorothy) Hunt of Francesville and Robert (Judy) Hunt of Monon and a sister, Patricia (Edwin) Rodehan of Monticello.

One brother and two sisters are deceased.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 12, at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Pastor Don Newman officiating.

Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery.
