Hazel Ruth Allen, 91, formerly of Beech Grove, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at Home Hospital. Lafayette. She was a patient there since March 27. She had been ill for the last year.
She was born March 7, 1897 in Letts Corner and was married to Paul 0. Allen, Aug. 1917, in Indianapolis. He died in August of 1973.
She lived in Beech Grove until 21 months ago when she moved in with her daughter, Mrs. Maurine (Ruth) Davis, of R.5, Monticello, who survives.
She was a member of Southeastern United Church of Christ, Indianapolis.
A sister and a daughter are deceased.
Also surviving are two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in Dorsey-Doty Mortuary, Indianapolis with the Rev Don Arterburn officiating. Burial was in Milford Cemetery, Milford.
