JOAN A. ALEXANDER

Joan A. (Lowry) Alexander, 58, 505 S. Prairie, Brookston, died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, March 6, in St Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient at the hospital since March 3.

She was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Hammond to Roy and Amanda (Winters) Lowry who survives and live at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette. She married Bernard Alexander, Feb. 18, 1950, in Kentland. He survives also.

She lived the past 33 years in Brookston and was a member of St Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Surviving with her parents and husband are four daughters, Mrs Terence (Nancy) Goodman, Evansville; Mrs Terry (Donna) Gaylord, Fowler; Mrs Todd (Diane) Smith, Brookston and Mrs Brad (Cathy) Meyers, Battle Ground; two brothers, Raymond Lowry of Raymondsville, Texas and Leroy Lowry, Wolcott; three sisters, Mrs Mary Ellen Provo, Wolcott, Mrs Forrest (Romana) Austin, West Lafayette and Mrs Howard (Jane) Pitstick, Earl Park; and nine grandchildren.  One brother is deceased.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bonifice [sic] Church, Lafayette, with Father Ray Chappa, OFM, officiating. Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston was in charge of services.

Burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery
