A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2001 in Montmorenci. Mrs. Agnello passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2001 in Kirkland, Washington.
Mrs. Agnello was born April 23, 1928 in Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, the daughter of J.C. and Gladys Ralston. She was raised in Montmorenci and graduated from Montmorenci High School in 1946. In 1968 she moved to Beaverton, Oregon. While a resident of Beaverton, Mrs. Agnello sang with the Forest Grove Gleemen and Girls choral group. The group toured Europe in 1970 where they sang at the Salzburg Music Festival in Austria and also for Princess Grace in Monaco.
On October 19,1973, she married Joseph A. Agnello in Beaverton, Oregon and they moved to Bellevue. Mrs. Agnello, a member of the National Society of Daughters of American Revolution, and served as Regent of David Douglas Chapter in Redmond, Washington. She also was a member of the Bellevue First United Church. She was particularly active in the United Methodist Church Women's Organization. In her leisure time Mrs. Agneilo enjoyed golf, sewing, music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. The family remembers Mrs. Agnello as having an ever-present beautiful smile and giving 110% effort in everything that she did. They further stated that she was devoted to her family, church and country.
Mrs. Agnello is survived by her husband Joseph, of Bellevue; four children, Linda Harris of Beaverton, Oregon. Steve Ricklefs, of York, Pennsylvania, Steven Agnello, of Atlanta, Georgia and Christine Tompa of Bellevue; two sisters, Marge Sheets of West Lafayette, Indiana and Ruth Johanssen of Toledo, Ohio; two brothers, Robert G. Ralston, of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dr. John C. Ralston, Jr. of Glendale, Arizona; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
