March 18, we went in to California south of the Mojave Preserver looking for the Desert megaphone. The sand got real soft and we hadn't seen anything as large as our truck (just ATVs adn moror cycles) for about a mile. Being the only large vehicle, we decided to turn around. It was a good day getting enjoying the road less travaled. And we passed the world's largest thermometer.
