RECYCLING

Dave's recycles. We believe that as a responsible business we have an obligation to recycle everything we can. There are so many people in the world and we generate so much trash, that it makes sense to re-use everything we can. It gives you a good feeling to know that the pop can you are using will be melted down and become another aluminum product, and that the stack of cardboard boxes our UPS just arrived in today will be pulped down and turned into new cardboard boxes in just a week.

Currently we recycle: all junk mail, cardboard boxes, plastic peanuts, glass, aluminum cans, plastics #2 and #4(?). Our area is not very supportive of recycling, so it takes a bit of extra effort to do it.

We also deal in used computers and equipment, which is another kind of recycling, seeing that a computer which may be too slow for one owner finds its way to an owner which can use it.

We have found homes for many older computers with non-profit corporations and groups. If your organization could use an older computer, let us know and we will try to locate something for you.

The amount of trash we discard weekly is down to about one tenth of what it used to be, and we have a good feeling knowing we are doing something that's good for the planet and future generations. We would be happy to talk to any group about how we set up our recycling program.
