1. Reward and encourage an artist. Your name is mentioned every time the story is told - to spouse, family, friends, workmates. Your name is mentioned again and again. 2. Exposure with every visitor to the show. Shows usually hang for one month. 3. Your name, the prize you gave and the recipient's name will be mentioned in arts organization newsletters, reaching entire arts organization memberships. 4. The awards will be mentioned in newspapers reporting the event. Media love the idea of business contributing to the community. 5. Thanks to you in the show brochure or catalog. 6. Receive letters of thanks from the sponsoring organizations. These may be posted in a public area of your business. You may also receive letters of thanks from the artists. 7. Pay someone from your company for 2 hours to attend the show opening and meet the artist. Congratulate them, ask how they made the (picture, sculpture, etc). Tell them what you like about it (colors, strong lines, how it makes you feel, or whatever.) This punches the effect with the artist, and brings your employee aboard telling people the message that you care about the community. 8. Take a photo of the artist for your internal newsletter or bulletin board. Gives your employees and the community the message "we value our community". 9. Encourage employees and customers to visit the show. Encourage employees who do art to enter shows with works of their own. 10. Include a discount coupon for for your product or service to be awarded the artist - bring them into your business and make them customers.
