Two all-American favorites play center stage on a day brimming with
activities, including: over 200 craft booths, contests, entertainment,
music & a great variety of food booths. There are yard sales
galore all through town. Brookston's annual festival takes
place the third Saturday in September. This is the time to celebrate
the local harvest, rich with apples and popcorn. Come with your
friends and family and enjoy the day. There are many of activities for kids and adults all day long, including: pancake & sausage breakfast at the firehouse, family entertainment on the stage, 5K, 10K & fun run, apple bobbing, big wheel race, nail driving, three-legged race, pedal tractor pull, prince and princess contest, hula hoop contest, bubble gum blowing contest, pizza eating contest, car show, apple dessert contest, men's leg contest, and book sale at the Brookston library. The 2009 Schedule of Events will be posted when it is available.
This year is the 31st annual Brookston Apple Popcorn Festival. It is
scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, 7 am-6 pm. It
is a
