Brookston Apple Popcorn Festival

There are many of activities for kids and adults all day long, including: pancake & sausage breakfast at the firehouse, family entertainment on the stage, 5K, 10K & fun run, apple bobbing, big wheel race, nail driving, prince and princess contest, hula hoop contest, jump rope contest, bubble gum blowing contest, water balloon toss, pizza eating contest, car show, frisbee dogs, apple dessert contest, art show, photo show, men's leg contest, book sale at the Brookston library.

This year is the 32nd annual Brookston Apple Popcorn Festival. It is scheduled for Saturday, September 18th, 7 am-6 pm. It is a free event. For general information, contact Shelley Christopher at 765-563-3770.

Handicapped Parking is available close to the heart of the event, between Second and Third Streets. Enter from the north. All paved surface from parking area on in is easily negotiated with a wheelchair or rascal-type vehicle. Wheelchair-accessable washrooms are conveniently located near the center of the event and ample portable toilets are situated in convenient locations.

Starting this year we are proud to announce the Brookston Apple Popcorn Festival is "Going Green"! There will be recycling containers throughout the event. Cardboard recycling will be provided at the end of the food area. We encourage all food vendors to adopt plates, cups and napkins with recycled content. Vendors wanting information on finding recycled items may contact Lenard Miller at 765-563-6868. We ask everyone to help us make the 2010 festival a green one!
