In the fall of 2000, two institutions purchased paintings from Konrad Juestel for their collections. The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette in Lafayette, Indiana, and the Frankfort Community Public Library in Frankfort, Indiana, both acquired large scale oils.

In September 2000 the artist opened his studio and personal gallery to friends and the general public for an exhibition of recent work. Over 175 people attended the opening event on September 23rd where they sipped wine, socialized and viewed art at Juestel's Beautifully self-designed and built facility.

In June of 2001, Juestel was honored at a ceremony at the Frankfort Community Public Library. The library named a new addition after Konrad and his wife Christel in gratitude for his many contributions to this institution as an artist and designer.

Next up for Juestel is a major retrospective at the Brauer Museum of Art at Valparaiso University. This exhibit will be contained in the main galleries of the museum and will include work from different facets of Juestel's career ranging from 1959 to the present. A full color catalog, including an essay by noted Chicago critic Rolf Achilles, will accompany the exhibit. The retrospective is scheduled from November 15th through January 6th. For more information about the exhibit visit the Brauer Museum od Art's website at: www.valpo.edu/artmuseum.
