The Festival

The Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering is a nationally renowned three-day traditional music festival featuring the finest in old-time, jazz, bluegrass, Celtic, and folk music on one stage. Held annually under the ancient oaks in Battle Ground, Indiana's Battlefield Park the last full weekend of June.

Traditional Music Center & Museum

The Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering Traditional Music Center is located in the Wells Cultural Center in historic downtown Lafayette at 638 North Street. We have two performance stages for special concert events throughout the year and a museum dedicated to the traditional musical history of Indiana and the Midwest.

Youth Programs

The future of any art form is always dependent on the next generation. This is especially true for traditional music. We have developed programs to take an active role in nuturing youth's enthusiam for the music.
School Outreach Programs: Our successful interactive program has brought traditional music to over 7,000 elementary school children over the past 15 years throughout the region.
The Wilbur Ade Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a young Indiana traditional musician ages 8-17. The scholarship pays all expenses at the presitigious Mark O'Connor Fiddle Camp in Nashiville, Tennessee.

Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering continues to release high quality compact discs of rare performances recorded over the past 35 years at the Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering.

Traditional Music Resources

Our office is open the entire year where we work to nuture traditional music and musicians, connecting the public to traditional musicians throughout the region. We help the public find the traditional musicians to hire for events, instructors for lessons, and answer inquiries. We help musicians with press kits, copyright and licensing of material and production work. For members we offer low-cost disc duplication/printing services.
We are the caretakers of a large archive of a unique music archive of countless hours of rare performances spanning four decades and have begun aquiring historical artifacts relating to traditional music including both antique media and 78rpm records.
