WHAT ARE THOSE LITTLE SMILEY FACES I SEE IN E-MAIL & CHATS?

        Those little smileys we se splattered all over the place are 
        called "EMOTICONS".  Emoticons are used to add inflection to our
        type-written speech.  They help the person who is reading what we 
        have written better understand our tone of mind.  This can be a 
        pretty good thing, since e-maill almost always seems ruder than 
        it was meant to be.  Here are some of the more common emoticons:
