AVAILABLE IN WHITE COUNTY

White County Recycling offers the towns and townships a convenient recycling program which will benefit not only you, but the County as a whole in reducing the waste that goes to the landfill. In order for the program to work, we ask that you follow the guidelines as you collect and sort your recyclables.

YOU MAY ALSO BRING YOUR RECYCLABLES TO THE WHITE COUNTY RECYCLING CENTER located east of Reynolds on Hwy. 24 in the Segal's building.

ALUMINUM
(soda cans, foil, and pie pans)

GLASS BOTTLES & JARS
(clear, green & brown glass that has contained food)

PLASTIC CONTAINERS
(Pop bottles, milk/water/detergent/bleach jugs, detergent/shampoo/household cleaner bottles)

STEEL
("tin"food cans)

NEWSPAPERS, PHONE BOOKS, & MAGAZINES

CARDBOARD & PAPERB0ARD
Cereal & shoe boxes, corrugated cardboard

OFFICE PAPER
  1. Computer & copy paper,
  2. white ledger,
  3. colored paper,
  4. envelopes,
  5. office junk mail,
  6. manilla mailing envelopes,
  7. file folders, and
  8. hardback books with covers removed
All packaged together

There are a number of other items that can be recycled in other parts of the U.S. However, we do not have local markets to sell these products at this time, but we continue to search for places to recycle more products.


We cannot take PLASTIC BAGS. Please bring your recyclables in paper bags, cardboard boxes, or garbage cans or be prepared to empty your plastic bag at the site. Recyclable materials will only be accepted during the times and dates listed.

Your local Town and/or Township officials, many local volunteer non-profit groups and the White County Conimissioners and CounciI members have joined together in this effort to make recycling convenient for all of White County. We look forward to seeing you at the recycling site.
